HISTORY OF THE NSCLA
The Association began with casual conversation between like-minded organizations that have met through the years at college exposure tournaments, games, and lacrosse events. During these meetings discussions naturally centered on the rapid growth of the game, and its impact on the state of recruiting tournaments.
We discovered that each of our groups face many of the same challenges, share the same core goals and understand the benefits of a cooperative lacrosse association and its direct positive impact on our athletes and their families.
In 2009 the founding members, for the first time, formally gathered at the National College Coaches Convention in Baltimore, MD then again at the 2010 US Lacrosse Convention. At the second meeting a board of directors was formed, setting in motion the establishment of the National Scholastic Club Lacrosse Association.
